We were hoping to see a good crowd today, but at 1 pm only Ed has shown, so we waited till about 1:15 . Still no one else other than another guy getting ready to go out, his name is John and he graciously turned into our ride leader.

I will never reveal to my dying day who the less studley riders are so that they will not be the subject of gossip or ridicule by readers of this report. We have not been able to get out on any rides for the last
couple of weeks due to the snow and then the rain, but with the cold temps of
the last few days, the ride was set for Thursday night. With the cold weather I pretty much knew that the rain that had fallen last weekend was
most likely frozen solid on the trails. So with that in mind I equipped my bike
with studded tires inflated to 50 psi. It was a brisk 12
degrees when I left the shop to head over to the Montague Plains in the RRRR.

Curt and I decided that the Deerfield Ridge would be a superb place for the ride tonight. Joining us were Mark, Todd, Jamie and Matt B. After milling around to allow those that show up at ride time (guilty) we headed up the road to the Blueberry Trail.

Today I persuaded Bob to post a ride for Wendell. The weather folk were talking rain most of the day, but as is often the case, they were wrong by 5 or 6 hours. 65 degree temps were the rule most of the day, and it was still reading 62 in the car as I pulled into the lot a little before 6:00
